I began my interest in photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I graduated in 2003. I learned with a film camera and darkroom, an experience I am grateful for, despite all the harsh chemicals. I continued shooting while living in Japan for a year, where I bullied Navy men into modeling for me while I experimented. I returned to the USA in 2004 and haven’t stopped shooting since.

I have been an amateur photographer for some time. I began photographing people in HS and fell in love with the idea. I see my work as a visual representation of how I view the world. I always hope that my art can make someones life a little more interesting.
